Trust

That you do the watering and planting, but God is the one who does the increase. His word never returns void. Whatever happens isn't dependent upon your ability (based on 1 Cor. 3:6, Isa. 55:11)

Listen

This is paramount, ensure you actively listen to the person and show you're empathetic and genuine. Often this is where you'll hear about personal trauma, misconceptions about Christianity, etc.

Look

For the openings God provides, verbal and nonverbal. This will spark the conversation, this can be a compliment of a tattoo, shirt, name, or simply showing kindness to someone and being intentional about tying your character back to Christ.

Share

Relate to the person in truth, if you've experienced similar situations or used to believe the same misconceptions ensure you express that. Then share your testimony with them, this shows your willingness to be vulnerable and puts you on the same level.

Ask

"What do you think about God?" - This is where you're going to see if the person is interested in exploring the topic, you'd be surprised how many people will.

Address

This is pivotal, gracefully speaking truth into misconceptions such as the "unreliability of the Bible", how "all religions lead to God", that "Jesus never claimed to be God", etc. disarms fallacies and causes people to reconsider the truth.
