About
The Bible is a collection of 66 books written by approximately 40 different authors over a span of about 1,500 years. These authors came from diverse backgrounds — including kings, prophets, fishermen, shepherds, and scholars — yet their writings together tell one unified story of God's plan for humanity, centered on Jesus Christ. Divided into the Old Testament (39 books) and the New Testament (27 books), the Bible is considered the inspired Word of God and the ultimate authority for Christian faith and life.
